Level 2 Activities:

MVBT Organization Group Activities OFF SITE from MVBT Property

This applies only to activities being organized, sponsored, and led by a MVBT Organization.

If MVBT Organizations are participating in activities organized, sponsored, and led by a Non-MVBT organization, then it is the responsibility of the MVBT Organization leaders to review the safety protocols of the organization leading the activity and determine whether those safety protocols are adequate to ensure the health and safety of MVBT attendees.

The group activity should not involve distributing items to others outside of the group unless it is “contact-less” distribution

Level 2 Activities do NOT require review by MVBT Health and Safety Committee

Provided all criteria are met and all safety protocols are followed

Organizers of the activity are required to fill out an activity submission form to document the plans for the activity by clicking the link below. 

Example of Level 2 Activities

  • Boy Scout troop meetings off site at a park
  • YBA social gathering in Santa Cruz
  • ABA outing to San Jose Giants game

Requirements for Level 2 Activities

The following MUST be strictly adhered to by the organization and any attendees of the activity:
  • A Level 2 Activity Submission form to document plans for the activity must be submitted
  • A designated Health Officer must be identified for each activity
  • The activity must be OUTDOORS
  • All attendees must complete a Health Attestation Form (Online or Paper) on the day of activity
  • The Health Officer is responsible for:
    • Confirming all attendees have completed Health Attestation form on the day of the activity (proof of completion must be reviewed) 
    • Collecting any PAPER Attestation Forms and entering them electronically into Jotform for record keeping
    • Assuring all safety protocols are followed
  • If any attendees test positive for COVID19 within 7 days of the event/meeting/service, that attendee will notify the designated Health Officer or contact MVBT at (650) 964-9426

Safety Protocols for Level 2 Activities

If the activity is occuring at a county or state regulated venue, the health and safety protocols of that venue  must be followed.  In addition, the MVBT Health and Safety Committee recommends the following as best practice measures to prevent to spread of COVID19 and protect the health of all attendees:
  • COVID19 vaccination for all eligible attendees is encouraged
  • Face masks are not required, but STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, regardless of vaccination status
  • Attendees who DO NOT LIVE in the SAME HOUSE should:
    • Stay at least 6 feet apart and practice good hand hygiene
    • Avoid holding or shaking hands, hugging, or kissing
    • Limit sharing items
  • Eating/drinking together is discouraged.  However, if individual food or drinks are consumed, attendees should be socially distanced (minimum 6 feet) from others, time spent eating/drinking should be minimized, and masks should be put back on as soon as finished eating. 
  • Hands should be sanitized after eating/drinking.
  • Buffet style food and sharing of food between attendees from different households is discouraged
  • Smaller groups activities are encouraged to minimize the risk of exposure
  • If activity is to attend an event at a large crowd or group setting, associate only with group attendees as much as possible to reduce the risk of exposure.

It is the responsibility of the MVBT affiliated organization leaders to protect the safety of all attendees at any planned activities.  The above measures are recommendations to minimize the risk of exposure and decrease the spread of COVID19.

  • Fever ≥ 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • New Cough
  • New Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
  • Sore Throat
  • Runny nose or nasal congestion
  • Headache
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Severe Fatigue or Muscle Aches
  • Chills or repeated shaking
  • New loss of taste or smell
