We obtain this data directly from you when you become a temple member, donate to our temple, or register for temple events such as Keirokai, Sangha Day, Mochitsuki, Obon, or similar events.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS – e.g. Age, Gender, Interests, Talents

We may use this data to connect you to areas at the temple that align to your skills and interests.

We obtain this data directly from you when you become a temple member on the Membership Form or Survey.

How we share your data

We do not transfer your information to third parties in exchange for money and will not do so. However, we do transfer personal information to certain third parties in order to operate our business (such as Quickbooks, Salesforce, Jotform, and Square) . Disclosures are only to the extent necessary to run our administrative and business processes such as membership, event registrations, and donation processes.

How we protect your data

Online information is collected and protected on forms with 256 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection that uses a SHA256 Certificate. This is the same level of protection used by online banking or e-commerce providers.

Once collected, information is kept and stored in a centralized and protected customer database with limited access.
